5MV (5 minute Vacation)
October 13, 2024This month, Cory and I celebrate 5 years as a couple. Well, kind of. We somewhat agreed to start dating in October of 2019, but that’s another story. Like most couples, we spent a lot of time talking about how we would choose to live our lives if we didn’t have all the normal responsibilities like bills, family obligations, homes, etc., to deal with. At the time, she had just opened a gym in Raleigh, North Carolina, and I was building a business in Belize (which is where we met by the way.) Then it occurred to us, that the only thing stopping us from living the lives we truly wanted to live, was us, and a lot of difficult decisions along the way. Choosing how we spend time with people we love, choosing how we spend money to do the things we want, and choosing how we make that money all had to be dealt with.
But, what was going to make it all worth it? What was our Why? For both of us, freedom was a huge motivator. The ability to travel was another. Financial security and the ability to pursue worthwhile endeavors were paramount. So how do we get all of that while doing what we were doing? The short answer? We couldn’t. To get something you’ve never had, you’ll have to be willing to do something you’ve never done. You have to be willing to remove the things that don’t support your why. You have to make sacrifices and get real uncomfortable if you’re going to stand a chance at achieving your why. We had a vision, we had the will, we just needed to execute. That’s how Summits2Seas was born.
Through our own relentless pursuit of what is our ideal lifestyle, we have identified practical methods to achieving those ideals. Partnering with S2S and employing our proven methods will help you TRANSFORM your personal or professional life.
